LavaDerm to the rescue. Last night, I came home from three days on the beautiful (and very sunny) Oregon coast. On the first day of my trip, I got a bad sunburn on my face, I even had blisters on my nose. I was so surprised, as I had been to the beach several times before without any problems. Though I had brought several oils with me, among them Lavender, Melrose and PanAway, they were not of much relief. First, I tried the Lavender and it burned. Then I made the mistake and put PanAway on it. Ouch! Next came Melrose, which was the best of the three. Even the Aloe Vera I had did not do much. I wished I had brought Myrrh and LavaDerm with me. As soon as I arrived back home, I doused my face with the LavaDerm. Ahhhhhh, what a relief. Almost instantly, my face felt better, the swelling reduced and I could touch my forehead and nose without pain. Next time I go to the beach or the mountains, I definitely take the LavaDerm with me. Blessings, Elisabeth
I burned my feet terribly by dropping a huge pot of boiling water on them. I was carrying it to the sink to dump and one of the handles fell off! The entire pot poured onto my bare feet! The kitchen floor was water tight, and there was no where to go. I found myself hopping around in 2 inches of boiling water as my feet cooked. I tried to jump onto the counter, slipped and came back down into that dreadful water.
Needless to say, my feet were 2nd degree burned. I'm not sure if 3rd as I never went to a Doctor. They were a real mess, skin peeling and blistering, etc. I used my aloe plant, Lavender and LavaDerm. I also had some Rose Ointment that I put on to keep them moist.
Mostly I want to let everyone know about LavaDerm. It is miracle stuff. Don't doubt it. Never be without LavaDerm. You don't know when you'll need it. Words cannot convey how awesome it is. The skin knows it. There was no question whenever I applied it to my feet I could almost feel the healing happen. My feet healed 100% with no scarring whatsoever. And I know that the LavaDerm was responsible. It is waaaaay beyond even Lavender. There is Lavender in it.
Let me tell you another story to illustrate this.
When my son Daniel and I were at the Young Living convention, we spent some time at the farm. Daniel was sitting around a campfire, watching the kids roast marshmallows, when a log "spit" a coal out and it landed right inside the edge of his sneaker, up against the ankle. By the time he'd ripped the shoe off he had a whopper of a burn about the size of a quarter. He was hollering and hopping when I came up and we simply shouted out. There were 200 Young Living distributors within earshot. Does anyone have any Lavender?
Of course, it was immediately forthcoming, and we applied it to his ankle. He got some relief, but he still hurt badly. Knowing that the first aid station was nearby, we went to it for LavaDerm. They didn't have any there. The Young Living store was only a few more feet away, so I went in and bought some! By the time I got back to Daniel, it had been about 5 minutes. Repeated applications of Lavender had not helped the pain much and he was miserable.
However, ONE SQUIRT of LavaDerm and the pain ceased instantly! He applied it several more times that day and the pain never came back. I said this is miracle stuff and I believe it. I recommend everyone get some. It is not something you'll use every day, but when you need it you'll want it NOW! With compassion, Janet
Have you used Young Living's LavaDerm? It's a fabulous spray that contains Lavender, water and Aloe Vera and is very healing and supportive to the skin. I've used it successfully for sunburn, cooking burns and for an even more serious burn that my son sustained when he was dragged under the tire of an ATV quad. And by the way, all of these burns have healed without a scar. So the following is a new use for LavaDerm, which will be very helpful for people with Chicken Pox, or other conditions which may act like Chicken Pox. This is one product that I will not be without. Have a wonderful and joyful day, Vicki Opfer
Just to let you know that my 9-year-old daughter breezed through the worst case of chicken pox I had ever seen (of 5 kids) with LavaDerm. I just sprayed her every time she was itchy, which was only the first 2 days. I really expected it to be much more complaining given the way she looked. We even took pictures because she was so covered! Tammie Dexter

If I had this happening to me, I would spray the area with LavaDerm Spray. It's the most amazing product. It contains Lavender Oil, aloe and structured water, and heals skin stuff faster and better than anything else I've ever seen. It's especially terrific when I use it for burns, sunburns and rashes, but seems to be very beneficial to most skin conditions.
A dear friend of mine who had something similar to what you're describing put a few drops of Ravensara in capsules and took them internally for a few days and she was delighted with how quickly her body was able to heal itself. Good Luck! Vicki Opfer
Friday evening, I burned my finger by grabbing the heating element in the oven. I forgot it was preheating to 450. I immediately sprayed it with LavaDerm. I couldn't believe how quickly the pain disappeared. I sprayed the finger several more times during the evening. I developed a blister that covered the entire end of my finger from the top joint to the tip. The blister never broke, though it was tender. Tonight, Sunday, there is barely a trace of there being any burn at all. The blister is gone. The skin is just the slightest bit tender. I think it's amazing! Annette
We used LavaDerm Spray on little Adam this summer before and during sun exposure and a friend and distributor is using it to clear up an eczema outbreak. I love keeping it in the refrigerator and spraying my body with it just as a refreshing way to cool off after being in the sun.

Last night I was doing my daughter's hair for prom. She had gotten a new curling iron that was the same color for the handle AND the hot part. You know where I'm going with this, right? I was rushing and grabbed the VERY hot iron. For some miraculous reason, a bottle of LavaDerm was on her dresser. My entire hand was hurt and burning so badly I almost passed out. I spritzed the LavaDerm on the palm of my hand and fingers, and very gently rubbed it in. It took about five minutes for the pain to subside - and I had to keep going on her hair. I tell you, the trick must be to get it on right away, because although I have a sense that my hand was burned, there is no blistering or discoloration, or pain. We usually keep a bottle in the kitchen, but as I recall we had sprayed some on our dog Rascal's hot spots in Katie's room a while back and it had not made its way back to the kitchen.
Lavender is wonderful for burns - we usually use both LavaDerm and Lavender, but last night it was just the LavaDerm and I am completely re-sold on it! If you don't have it yet, especially going into barbecue season...be sure to order a bottle. Take care, Mary Lou
I have been using LavaDerm Spray for itching. Mine was so bad it was raw meat. As it got better I started using Animal Scents Ointment to soften the dry areas. Since that, I use LavaDerm for everything. The Animal Scents I've always used for everything, too. Oily blessings, Sandy
My son is a diesel mechanic and is always in danger of burns. This past summer he was on a job and the radiator of the truck he was working on blew up. The steam and hot water went from his wrist to his neck on the right arm. He didn't have Lavender, but he was close to home. He jumped into his pickup and came home. I was not here at the time, so he helped himself to my Lavender oil. When I got home my daughter told me what had happened. I was out of LavaDerm, so I started calling around and located someone with a bottle who was willing to let me have it until my order came in. I made a flying trip to the next town and back. My son came in shortly after I got back and when I looked at his arm and the front of his neck I was sure he would lose the skin and have terrible scars. He had been in so much pain that he was afraid to wash up before he put the Lavender on. I ask him to wash the grease and oil off before I put the LavaDerm on him. He did a pretty good job considering how the degreaser must have hurt. I sprayed his burns with the LavaDerm and he went back to work. This was about 3:00 p.m. When he came in after he had finished the job, around 5:30 p.m., he said the pain was gone and the burns looked much better. We sprayed with LavaDerm twice more during the evening and put Lavender all over his arm and neck before he went to bed. The next morning, he had no pain and no redness where he had been burned. He continued to use the LavaDerm twice a day for a few days. He healed beautifully, with very little pain and no scaring. I cannot recommend these two Young Living products highly enough for burns. Hi Cathy (Person with a skinned elbow)
If you have LavaDerm, that's what I would use. Otherwise, straight Lavender would sting for a minute, but would cool off quickly and that would help. If you don't have LavaDerm, you can take a small spray bottle and add 6-8 drops of Lavender to it and mist the area, often. LavaDerm is a Lavender spray that contains Lavender Oil, Aloe Vera and a special water. It was designed for burns and abrasions.
When my son, Chris, got dragged under a 4-wheel ATV, it not only shredded his jeans right off his body, but he rubbed about 2/3 of the skin off of his right leg. The doctor at the emergency room wanted to send him to a burn unit. Instead, I asked them to put his leg to sleep and clean out the gravel for us and I would take him home. For some reason, I had ordered several bottles of LavaDerm just before this happened, so for the next week or two, we sprayed him down every 15-20 minutes. His leg healed without a single scar and the hair grew back. This experience was quite a miracle for us.
My granddaughter, Jamie took a face dive on an ATV at another time and after cleaning the wound, she used nothing but LavaDerm on it and she, too healed without scarring, for which she is very, very grateful. I always keep at least one or two extra bottles of LavaDerm on hand for emergencies, especially in the summer. If you have Rose Care Ointment, you can put that on over the LavaDerm, if you want. Sometimes I use it and sometimes I don't. Also, Animal Scents Ointment is another possibility to put on the area. Good Luck! Vicki Opfer
I just have to share my LavaDerm story. My son Chris was in an accident on a quad (4-wheel motorcycle) about a year ago. It was really bad. He was dragged under the wheel for quite a distance and it shredded his blue jeans and tore them off of him. He had 3rd degree burns over about 2/3 of his right leg and the hair and most of the skin were gone off the back of the leg. By the time I saw him in the emergency room, they were talking about several procedures and planned to send him to a burn unit for a few days. They said he had at least a 6-week recovery to look forward to and that he would have scarring and permanent loss of hair on that leg.
I asked them to use Xylocaine to anesthetize the area and clean out the gravel and dirt and then I took him home. Just by coincidence (don't you just love those?) I had bought several bottles of LavaDerm and had them on hand. We sprayed the leg down every 15 minutes or so for the first few days, or whenever we thought about it and I kept Chris in bed for several days. Then we went to spraying the leg several times a day. The leg was almost totally well in 2 weeks and today there is no scarring and the hair is perfectly normal.
I share so much LavaDerm with friends that I've had to put it on auto ship, so I get a new bottle every month. It's just amazing.
Oh, and one more story. Chris and his choir group went to Florida for a competition last spring. On the last day the whole group went to the beach to get a little sun. They all came home burnt to a crisp. They were quite red and looked to me like they would blister. I started spraying Chris with LavaDerm as soon as we got home. Starting the next day, several of them came over at lunch to get sprayed with LavaDerm because Chris seemed so much better that morning and wasn't in any pain. For the next several days, they'd stop over, and I'd spray them down. And by the way, I know all of their parents and got their permission. Within about a week or so, the kids who did not come over to get sprayed were all starting to peel. It was a real mess. The kids who had been getting sprayed every day tanned nicely and none of them peeled. They were quite happy. Have a wonderful day. Vicki Opfer
